My best friend attends Belvidere Heights Baptist Church and has a prayer request for the wife of their music director. They are also good friends of hers. Her name is Sheryl and she is suffering from stage 4 colon cancer. She is currently in ICU with an abscess around the part of the tumor they couldn’t remove. She is also suffering from a fissure at the area where the intestines were reconnected after surgery. On top of all this, she is very malnourished as she hasn’t been able to eat. They need to at least get the abscess fully healed before they can continue with chemo. She is not healing well from the additional complications mostly because she is so weak and also because of the cancer itself. Worst of all, she is giving up. She has two daughters, one being a special needs child. Prayer for God’s healing hands on her to restore strength in her body, the ability to eat and that these critical health issues would heal so she can get back on her chemo program, would be greatly appreciated. Prayer also that God would restore her hope, courage and the willingness to fight this. Thank you everyone for your faithfulness to pray! My friend and Sheryl thank you too!!

I ask that you please pray for the Nehlsen family in Omaha, Nebraska. They are in need of clothing and seem to have lost vision and hope. They are a family of 4, whose children are ages 17 and 18. Their mother has informed me that she has one pair of pants. I pray that they may trust and regain belief in the Lord. I pray that they find wisdom and keep their eyes open to the opportunities the Lord presents to them. May our God continue to speak to their hearts.

Lucy is leaving Children's Mercy today! She has completed her chemo and now we wait to see if it works. Hopefully her immune system will jumpstart itself (with the help of meds) and she will not need a bone marrow transplant. Thank you for praying for her and please continue to do so.

We've been married 29 years but this has been an ongoing problem. I'm tired of it and have decided to file for divorce. Please pray for God's peace in this difficult time.

Our son is going through a divorce. There are 2 children involved. He can't afford an attorney so the judge didn't let him speak at the custody hearing. He has been told to pay hundreds of dollars in support for one of the children (the other is not biologically his) even though he doesn't have a job. He doesn't want to go to jail. Pray for a job for my son that would allow him to pay support and his living expenses while giving him the ability to spend time with the kids when he has them. Also pray for a change of heart in his wife so that the kids are not used as a weapon of her hatred.

Due to the economy we had to close our business. L has been looking for work for a year with no response. We are now losing our home to foreclosure and the utilities are being shut off. We feel God is telling us to move back west where our family is. It's a very stressful time for us. Please pray that God will guide our steps and open the right doors.

As my family & I read it together a calm & peaceful feeling came over us. He is showing us everyday his unwavering faith, courage, support and his steadfast love. God has touched our lives today by bringing in two more clients to our business that he guided us to start. We are thankful each and every day and our faith is growing stronger every day. Amen

they will be bringing Lucy home today. She will be under hospice care. They will remove all of her medications except those needed for pain management. She has been living with only one kidney for some time and it is now functioning at 10%. Your prayers are appreciated by the family

Lucy has been placed in hospice care; she has DNR orders. Her lungs are filling with fluid and her one remaining kidney is continuing to deteriorate. They are watching for infection and pneumonia. Please pray for God’s will to be done and peace/comfort for Judy and family.
