1. What makes this church unique?
Our weekend services present the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impacts people in their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services. In addition, we have seasonal Bible studies on Wednesday nights. This is designed for people who wish to develop their relationship with Christ through worship, communion, and in-depth biblical teaching. We also have over 150 LifeGroups (small groups) that meet at various times in various locations throughout the KC Metro.

2. What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. Casual clothes are the norm at Westside, but please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in…whether it be a pair of jeans, shorts, a tie or a Hawaiian shirt!

3. How long will the service last?
The weekend services at Westside typically last about an hour.

4. What will the service be like?
On weekends, you can expect to experience contemporary music, engaging multimedia and practical messages that apply to your life in a meaningful way.

5. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything or be singled out in any way?
At Westside, you'll never be put on the spot, never singled-out, and never embarrassed. As our guest, you won't be asked to participate in the offering. You don't have to sign anything or register your attendance in any way (unless you place your child in our children's ministry - for your child's security, we'll need to get some basic information). Our hope is that you'll allow the service to be our gift to you and that you'll know we're here for you!

6. What about my kids - do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?
Our children's ministry, All Stars, provides an exciting experience for infants through preschoolers, kids in Kindergarten through Second grades, and also Third through Fifth grades. This allows you to get the most from your experience at Westside while your child is receiving high levels of care, attention, teaching and fun!

7. Is this a Christian church ... or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, Westside Family Church is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christian faith. Westside is an independent church affiliated with the Purpose-Driven Community, The Willow Creek Association and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Our vision is simple: to become a biblically functioning community of believers so that Christ's purposes can be accomplished in this world. However, what truly defines a church is not simply its doctrine, but its values. Westside's values shape who we are.

10. What is ahead for Westside Family Church?
Westside Family Church has moved into our new Lenexa location at K-7 & 83rd street in Lenexa, on the SE corner. The campus includes a 70,000 square foot facility, 1200 worship seats, space for 350 preschoolers, children’s space for 250, youth space for 275, a Gallery Café and Bookstore, outdoor basketball, volleyball and two playgrounds. Also, Westside Family Church plans to expand our vision in the area of Regional Campus’s in the Kansas City area and hopes to open another location in the Spring of 2007.
