Information for parents of 3’s to Pre-K Children

Activity Time
As children arrive and enter the class, they are encouraged to choose an activity center to play in. They can choose from art, puzzles, books, dramatic play, blocks or nature. The activities in each activity area have been planned to relate to the Bible story being taught that week. Leaders interact with children at various centers and share Bible truths with them through conversation and play.

Story Time
Threes, Fours and Fives will gather together with their leaders for a 10-15 minute group time. During this time, a Bible verse is used to emphasize the focus of the lesson. Leaders will also tell the Bible Story for the week and lead preschoolers in a simple prayer. A copy of the story will be sent home on the child’s take home paper each week.

Take Home Paper
Each child will receive a take home paper that tells the Bible story and verse for the week. On the back is an activity page that has a variety of activities relating to the week’s story. You can read the story and the bible verse with your child and help them further understand the lesson and the Bible verse. Save the take home paper and use it during the week. This interaction with your child can be very rewarding for both of you.
