INTIMATE ENCOUNTERS

1. What is IE? 
   Intimate Encounters is a marriage enrichment program that has roots at WFC for over 7 years!  It is designed to help take biblical marriages and deepen their roots and foster growth and strengthen the family within the home! 
   
   
2. How long does it last? 
   It is designed to run for twelve [12] weeks, and each class session is two [2] hours in length.
   
   
3. What is the cost? 
   The cost associated with IE is $30.00 per couple for books and materials—if finances are an issue, contact our office and we’ll work with you.
   
   
4. When is it offered and where? 
   We typically offer it two [2] times each year—once in January-April [Winter/Spring Semester] and then again in late August-November [Fall Semester].  The classes are set up to be held in a warm home environment—either in a participant’s home or the home of one of the leader’s.
   
   
5. Who teaches it? 
   Each class has two [2] leadership couples—a 1st Chair who is the primary leader, and a 2nd Chair who is a former participating couple now in training.  1st Chair couples have completed the program, plus have served as 2nd Chair couples at least two [2] times.
   
   
6. What curriculum is used? 
   The workbook we use is written by Dr. David Ferguson, President/CEO of Intimate Life Ministries of Austin, Texas.  The sessions are a combination of video and interactive dialogue between the five [5] participating couples and the two [2] leadership couples.
   
   
7. Is childcare offered? 
   At this time childcare is NOT offered, nor are any childcare vouchers available.
   
   
8. Can LifeGroups take the class? 
   Absolutely!  LifeGroups have recently become the primary means by which we fill the classes.
