Why LifeGroups?
When Jesus was asked to name the most important command in all the Bible,
he named two: Love God & love others (Matthew 22:37-40). LifeGroups
are Westside's way of connecting people with God through Jesus Christ,
and connecting others in an authentic community of faith.

Don't see a group that fits you? Contact Discipleship for MORE groups!
We have a five-fold purpose for LifeGroups:
CONNECT relationally with God, through his Son, Jesus Christ,
and with a family of believers.
GROW in your understanding of the Bible and learn to practice
the teachings of Jesus.
SERVE in the way you were designed to serve. God made you uniquely
and He has a unique plan for your life. Groups help you discover that
plan.
SHARE your story and the story of Jesus with friends and others
by extending a life line of care and encouragement.
WORSHIP God with your whole life, not just on the weekend!
LifeGroups help you to develop a lifestyle of surrender to God.
What is a LifeGroup?
A LifeGroup is a group of friends who do life together. We party, study,
pray, serve, and grow in Christ together.
What’s the benefit to me?
You don’t have to do life alone! LifeGroups help you to personalize
your plan for spiritual growth, and give you an authentic community
of friends that will walk with you through life.
How many people are in a group?
The average size is 10, but groups can range from 4 to 20 (or more)
in number.
I don’t know much about the Bible. Is there a group for
me?
Yes, we have groups for spiritual seekers, new believers, and maturing
Christians.
Can I try several groups?
Yes, if one doesn’t “fit” try another. New groups
are always forming!
Can I start a new LifeGroup?
We’d be very glad to meet with you to discuss this possibility!
Please contact Matt Adams at (913)422-8257 or matt@westsidefamilychurch.com.
What do groups study?
Groups studies will vary in topics, or books of the Bible.
Is child care available?
Many groups do provide child care in the home, but each group is different.
Not all groups provide child care.
How long do group meetings last?
On average groups met for 90-120 minutes. Most groups meet weekly.
What happens in group meetings?
Every group is different, but most meetings consist of:
• Fellowship 15-45 minutes
• Bible Study 45-60 minutes
• Prayer 15-30 minutes
