Calling: I started my professional career with a degree in business management taking a position with the Kansas Insurance Department. After 15 years in the insurance business, I found myself drawn to my real passion, sharing Christ with teenagers. At 39, while taking a group of teens to summer church camp, I felt God leading me to a whole new career path. I enrolled at Midwestern Theological Seminary to begin working toward an MDiv degree. It wasn’t long after that that I had the chance to start as a summer youth intern at Quivira Road Baptist Church. What started as 10 hours per week grew into a lifetime passion and a call into full time ministry. Ordained to the gospel ministry in January 1996, I have since served this church as youth pastor for 5 years, discipleship director, missions director and for the last 7 years as the Pastor of Membership.

What I like best about my ministry: Seeing people’s lives change as they understand the hope we have in Jesus Christ and when they take those first steps of faith in baptism.

For fun I enjoy: Pam and I like to bike together, playing cards with our kids, and watching K-State football.
