Our Mission: Transformed Lives

“Among the most humbling experiences of my life was sitting with a group of four young Thai women at our New Life Annex in June. All of them had been discarded as human refuse from the brothels in Chiang Mai, too abused and diseased to be of further use. All of them were HIV positive. One was found living in a phone booth, another in a hospital after a suicide attempt. All had been rescued from prostitution, given a safe place to live, food to eat, and shown the unconditional love of Jesus Christ for the first time in their lives.”

“As Schaun and I sat with them, they made their jewelry (learning an alternative skill to prostitution), talked, laughed, and received encouragement and hope from a recent graduate from the Annex. A year before, this lady had been similarly rescued from the red-light district with her infant, was encouraged and equipped through the New Life Annex, and had her heart and life completely transformed by Jesus Christ. She was well dressed, confident, and beautiful. The contrast between her and the new girls was striking—her transformation was simply amazing. Jesus had given her the ultimate makeover. She now serves on staff as a model to the new girls of transformational ministry of the New Life Annex. We are indeed humbled and privileged to be a part of what God is doing in Thailand, South Africa, and India in countless other lives. We are seeing firsthand Jesus’ life and redemption at work!”
