Babies-2's: Preschoolers will enjoy a variety of Bible-based

Three's - Kindergarten participate in TeamKid. Children
are taught Bible truths by traveling through four stations including
Bible Stories, Recreation, Art, and Snack. Teachers are needed in each

First-Fifth Grades: “It All Fits Together - God's Story:
Genesis-Revelation” There are great opportunities in leading children
by using creative teaching techniques such as video, drama, story telling,

CHILDREN - PRESCHOOL LEADERS FOR WEEKEND SERVICES: These
volunteers share Bible stories with children age 6 weeks to Pre-K while
they play with a variety of Bible learning activities. These leaders
serve weekly during one weekend service. No experience? Don’t

CHILDREN - PREPARATION HELPERS: These volunteers work alongside the preschool staff in preparing supplies for preschool classes. Jobs include copying, cutting, stapling, gathering materials, etc. The time commitment is approximately 1-2 hrs per week. CHILDREN - SUNDAY SCHOOL (Small Groups): Teachers lead
children in break-out groups and help personalize the Bible lesson presented
in The Rock (K-2nd) and the Extreme (3-5th) on the weekends. Contact

This is an opportunity for 3rd-10th graders to lead younger children's

CHILDREN - SPECIAL EVENTS: Throughout the year, children are

Christ-Like Kids): Our large group time on weekends provides opportunities

CHILDREN - MOPPETS: Paid and volunteer teachers needed for
children birth through kindergarten on select Mondays, 9am - 11:30am.

COMMUNICATION: This team helps in analyzing and improving
all written and visual communications that go out from Westside Family
Church. This team meets quarterly to brainstorm and implement creative
ideas on communicating message series and other special events to the

COUNSELING MINISTRY – COUNSELING TEAM: This
ministry requires additional training and equipping which we provide,
and prepares you to relate one-on-one with church family and community.

COUNSELING MINISTRY – LIFELINES: This ministry is designed as a support group model where you bring a particular gift, talent or experience to be shared with church family or community. COUNTING TEAM: This team takes care of counting, sorting,

DATA ENTRY: Input data which provides updated and
current information on activities and events at our church and other

DEACONS: These are servant leaders selected by the
church family to help care for the church family. Their responsibilities
include visiting those church members in need, praying for the sick,
assisting in the administration of baptism and the Lord’s Supper
and support to all the pastoral ministries of the church. For more information

DESIGN TEAM: The team is looking for volunteers who are skilled illustrators, graphic designers, copywriters, editors, proofreaders and photographers. Contact Brice Bohrer at (913)890-4220 or bbohrer@westsidefamilychurch.com.
DRIVE WORKSHOP VOLUNTEERS: Help facilitate the WFC DRIVE Workshop series which includes the Everything Westside Membership Class, Serve, Grow, Reach, and Worship Workshops. Opportunities include assisting with set-up, clean-up, registration and various other tasks. FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM: The First Impressions Team exists to create an atmosphere of warmth and personal acceptance while providing a safe environment to reach people for Christ and grow believers to be like him. This team warmly greets everyone who is on their way to the worship service with a handshake and a smile. This team also assists people in the worship service by handing out bulletins, overseeing the service in general and assisting people where needed. Training/orientation provided. HOSPITAL/NURSING HOME MINISTRY: If you have gifts of mercy and compassion and would like to minister to those in hospital or nursing home settings, this team will be called on to visit, encourage and pray for the sick and recovering. HOSPITALITY TEAM: This team serves in the ministry of hospitality, serving at the various ministries when food and hosts are needed, such as the donut time on Sundays and DRIVE Wokshops. LIFEGROUP COMMUNITY LEADERS: We have more than 150 LifeGroups (small groups) at Westside, and it takes a team of experienced and devoted leaders to help each group thrive. of projects in the church office including mailings, putting together
the weekly bulletin or monthly newsletter, answering phones, making

PRAYER TEAM: This team receives periodic prayer requests
by email and through updates to the church prayer web site. They agree
to visit this prayer web site once a week to pray for the needs of the

PROPERTY: This team is responsible for keeping the
church property in complete working order and excellent condition and

STARTING POINT: A seminar-based class to help new believers
anchor their faith with practical, Biblical teaching. Areas of service
opportunities are table workers, small group leaders and host families

TRAFFIC CONTROL: This ministry helps people to have a positive experience at church by helping cars flow smoothly into and out of the parking lot on Sundays between services. Contact Mark Pitnick at markandjudy@everestkc.net.
WEB DEVELOPMENT: Westside tries to stay culturally relevant and our website is one way that we do that. We have needs for graphic artists, programmers with web experience (Flash, ActionScript, JSP, JavaScripting HTML, SHTML) as well as editing, researching and knowledge of site structuring. WORSHIP ARTS - BAND & VOCAL MINISTRY: Sure, we have incredible talent, but more than that, we know how to have fun as we serve together as a family of musicians. WORSHIP ARTS – TECH MINISTRY: It doesn’t matter how tight the band or inspired the Pastor without the audio techs. But even if you can hear everything, it’s so much better with proper lighting. This is where the lighting techs come in with their designs. Yet, that’s still not the last piece of the puzzle is it? YOUTH – STUDENT MINISTRY: This team strives in developing students to be passionate about Christ, prayer, worship and fellowship by honoring and applying biblical principles to everyday life. We want you to serve where you feel you’re best. We are interested in creating a ministry and/or position that empowers you to honor God by serving with the youth ministry.
