Pack your bags, grab your family and join us on mission in Central America. Guatemala offers a great opportunity to serve together. We are partnering with local churches in Monjas. Westside families will serve alongside Guatemalan families as they reach into their communities with children’s programs, working with foster families, and engaging in community-wide activities to unite the local Monjas churches.
Joy Meadows Outdoor Adventure Camp • Local Mission Trip
Outdoor Adventure Camp at Joy Meadows intentionally helps the children and the parents of our foster and adoptive community. They provide a week of camp experiences, relational connection in a trauma-informed setting, shared experiences with other children who can identify with each other, and time with adults who can share the love of Jesus through fun, nature-based activities. Children who have experienced trauma receive the message of the hope of Jesus best when it is through an intentional, relational connection over multiple interactions. Joy Meadows staff will lead the Westside Family Church mission team and work alongside them during the week of camp. The primary role of the missions team is to connect with kids, have fun, and build relationships.
Network 1.27 Lake Day
Network 1.27 invites foster and adoptive families to our upcoming Lake Day! Dive into a day filled with kayaking, fishing, swimming, and more lakeside fun. Plus, savor a delicious dinner provided for all attendees. Come be part of our supportive community as we celebrate and uplift families throughout their adoption and foster care journey.

Journey with us to Northern Thailand, where we will spend time at our One Life sites in the beautiful mountains. Our team will serve alongside our One Life staff at a kid's camp and engage in community outreach at a remote Westside church plant in the Khun Nan National Park, where we will spend time with the hill tribe children in jungle villages. Paul Chang and Sandy Roland will lead this trip.

The issues at the US-Mexico border are complicated, multi-layered, and complex. As we try to raise awareness and fill in the gaps of the immigration story not seen in the media, we invite you to join us for a 3-day Border Encounter. This experience will give you the opportunity to hear from a wide variety of perspectives from US Border Patrol, immigration legal services, migrant shelters, local nonprofits serving in both relief and development capacities, and people seeking asylum in the U.S. This team will be led by Michelle Simbaqueva + Matt Adams.

After arriving in Cancun, our team will head to the town of Valladolid where we will partner with a local organization and serve alongside our partners in children’s ministry and community projects. Projects we complete will depend on the skillset of our team. This trip will provide great opportunities for Westside families to serve together
